Real conversations. Shared insight. Collective influence.
The Coach Exchange brings business coaches together to share honest perspectives and influence the technology shaping the future of coaching.
The best coaching software is built by listening to the people who use it every day.
"Which platform should I buy?"
"Why not help create the platform I actually need?"
Generic software, built for every industry at once.
Business coaches are being asked to deliver more value, use more technology and manage more systems than ever. Many coaches tell us they are:
The result: frustration, wasted investment, complex workflows and limited adoption.
Invite-only, and only for business coaches.
Meaningful solutions come from a deep understanding of one audience. By focusing on business coaching first, we gather better insight, make better decisions, and build more relevant technology.
From your real challenges to software built for you.
Members see every step as it happens.
Share and discuss
Join conversations on the challenges you face. Everyone is shown by member number, not name.
Go a little deeper
Short questionnaires and polls on the topics you care about. Join in as much or as little as you like.
Score
Challenges with enough evidence are scored on five published criteria.
Vote and design
Members vote on the shortlist. We then dig into the top challenges and design the solution with you.
Try it first
Members try early versions and share their feedback before anything goes public.
Idea Vault
Good ideas that are not prioritised yet are kept, with their scores, as candidates for future releases of the platform.
Busy? That's fine. All we ask is that you share your key pain points, answer occasional feedback requests, and get involved in the conversations when you can.
Five criteria, published before anything opens.
Every challenge is scored out of 100, and the scores are visible to all members. Three of the five scores come straight from members' answers. The other two are our own assessment, and we explain each one so you can add your view.
Nothing is scored in a rush: a conversation stays open for at least two weeks before we ask follow-up questions. The rules are published before anything opens and don't change during the round, so nobody can move the goalposts.
Members vote on the shortlist. We then dig into the top challenges in depth and design the solution, sharing what we find as we go.
You shape the change.
This isn't feedback on someone else's product. Alongside other business coaches, you shape the software your profession actually needs. Our earliest members are recognised as founding members.
Shape what changes
Your challenges and feedback decide what we work on and how it works.
Understand it first
See the findings, and try new releases, before anyone else.
Be recognised
Credited for helping shape it, if you want to be.
A professional think tank, not a social network.
Authentic discussion
Honest, valuable conversations rather than heavily managed interactions.
Collective intelligence
The shared knowledge and experience of business coaches, in one place.
Shared findings
What members tell us about running their businesses, summarised and shared back, so everyone can see the patterns.
Collaborative innovation
Better solutions, built through coach-led input and validation.
From first members to a growing platform.
Phase 1: Foundation
Bring business coaches together to share their challenges, and identify common themes.
Phase 2: Growth and insights
Publish the first findings, share key themes, and prioritise opportunities.
Phase 3: Design and build
Design the platform around the top challenges, with members, and build it.
Phase 4: Testing and feedback
Members try early versions and share their feedback before anything goes public.
Phase 5: Launch
The platform goes live.
Phase 6: Evolution
The platform keeps growing, adding new features from members' challenges and the Idea Vault.
Throughout every phase, we share progress and insights publicly, and build in public where it makes sense.
A person you can talk to, and the business behind it.

Before you apply
Why is it invite only?
So every voice belongs to someone who runs or works in a business coaching practice. You get in by application, approved by our team, or by a direct invite from us. Members can also invite coaches they know, who then apply and go through the same checks.
How much time does it take?
Very little. All we ask is that you share your key pain points, answer occasional feedback requests, and get involved in the conversations when you can.
Will other members know who I am?
No. Every member is given a unique member number when they join, and that is how you appear to everyone else. Only our team can see who is who. You will only be named in public updates if you choose to be.
Do I own an idea if it gets built?
No. Sharing a challenge gives no ownership or royalty, and we may build software that addresses it. Founding members get early access and credit for shaping it, if they want it.
What happens after the vote?
The vote tells us which challenges to work on first. We then dig into them in depth and design the solution, sharing what we find with members along the way.
What happens to challenges that are not prioritised?
They go into the Idea Vault with their scores. The Vault holds candidates for future releases of the platform, and members can keep backing the ideas that matter to them.
Will I be sold to?
No. This is not a sales community. Members can't promote their own businesses, and we never share your details with anyone without your permission.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Joining The Coach Exchange is free. When the platform we build together is ready, members will hear about any pricing first, well before it launches.
What happens to my information?
It stays with us. CollaborativeBD looks after it under our Privacy Policy, and we never sell it or share it with anyone else without your permission. You can ask us to delete your data at any time from your account.
Who's looking after you?
Tell us your top three pain points as a modern business coach, and help shape the software built for you.
